Office Clerk - Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls and voicemails, ensuring timely and accurate routing to appropriate team members.
- Oversee the team's email inbox and fax communications, maintaining organization and efficiency.
- Collate and file necessary documents to support timely patient care.
- Perform client intake, notifying the appropriate staff of client arrivals.
- Enter patient information into the EHR or Pharmacy system accurately and efficiently.
- Scan and upload documents into the EHR System, ensuring proper charting and documentation.
- Generate reports and documents to support routine workflows and enhance care timeliness.
- Conduct outgoing calls for appointment scheduling and information gathering.
- Apply critical thinking skills to address and resolve potential issues in client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Adhere to Legacy's policies, procedures, and service guarantees.
- Participate in safety training and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report safety concerns and follow exposure control plans for pathogens.
- Demonstrate proper use of protective barrier equipment and techniques.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the overall mission of Legacy.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Healthcare/Customer Service experience preferred.
- Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice.
- Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once.
- Efficient and accurate data-entry skills.
- Demonstrates strong computer skillsets.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Project management skills preferred.
